Face Changing Opera

New media meets Heritage performance

This project explores the traditional art of Bian Lian (face-changing) from Chinese opera through an interactive digital installation created with TouchDesigner. By using motion tracking, facial recognition, and sound input, the audience can actively participate in the face-changing process. The experience aims to bridge tradition with technology, inviting viewers to question how ancient performance arts can be reimagined and preserved through new media.
